our mission
Our vision is a community of individuals who are literate, self-supporting and valued for their unique contributions to society.
We believe one of the ways to accomplish this is by addressing core issues related to the academic performance of students living in poverty. In order to empower children to overcome many of the obstacles they encounter during the school day, we provide school supplies, books, hygiene items and other aid for students across metro Detroit. We also partner with schools to improve reading proficiency levels by providing books to enhance home libraries.
By raising awareness in the community, we act as an advocate on behalf of students living in poverty.
