The Operation: Kid Equip Teachers’ Annex serves teachers in Macomb, Oakland and part of Wayne Counties.

The OKE Teachers’ Annex provides students from low-income families with school and classroom supplies.  This gives every child in our community an opportunity to learn and to succeed.  Operation: Kid Equip is supported by product and monetary donations from generous businesses, individuals, corporations, and foundations, along with the help of volunteers.

Teachers have firsthand experiences with their students who aren’t coming to school properly prepared.  The OKE Teachers’ Annex supplies teachers with a wide array of products to help provide for their students in need.  Our inventory is ever-changing, but we attempt to always offer basic school supplies such as pencils, pens, paper, markers, crayons, erasers, scissors, and glue. We also have incentives and novelty items, calendars, books, art supplies, etc.

Teachers “shop” and receive product from the Teachers’ Annex completely free of charge! Teachers are able to select up to twenty different items, with varying limits.

All Operation: Kid Equip asks is that teachers and students do a little homework: create thank-you notes to our generous donors! They love to read the letters and cards from the kids…and it helps keep our shelves stocked.
